The Bell Cote
This replaced a square wooden tower in the early 1900's.

Looking from the East

St. Nicholas

In the parish of Little Bowden stands the church of St. Nicholas. The view is of the south side which has a Norman porch. The very shallow roof on the main section of the building gives the illusion of it having no roof! Inside is an 18th century hexagonal pulpit and a 13th century font.

War Memorial
At the bottom of the Memorial there is a dedication to those who lost their lives in the Great War. The top section looks like it has been attached at a later date, and bears the names of those lost in WW2. The inscription on the upper plinth reads:

To the glory of God and in thankful memory of those who died in the Great War, 1914-1919. "These men of ours unselfish, unafraid went to the world wide fight, forget not how they fought, and how we prayed for England and the right."
